Members are invited to participate in a debate which is intended to promote the eventual creation of a ‘town team’, which will seek to develop a vision for the economic, social and cultural well-being of Huddersfield town centre.

Four speakers, each with a specific expertise in the promotion and regeneration of town centres, will each give a short presentation on up to three key ideas they each have for stimulating and securing the town’s future vitality and vibrancy.

Members and guests will then have a chance to question the speakers and generate ideas of their own.

It is hoped that the debate will lead the way to future events, hopefully in association with other local organisations representing the business and cultural community.

This is an important opportunity to kick start the development of our vision for the town. We hope you can attend.

• To stimulate public interest in and care for the beauty, history and character of the town and its surroundings.
  
  
• To encourage the preservation, development and improvement of features of general public amenity or historical interest.
  
  
• To pursue these ends by means of meetings, exhibitions, lectures, publicity and promotion of schemes of a charitable nature.
