At last Huddersfield's Kirkgate and Somerset Buildings join Waverley Chambers as listed buildings by W H Crossland (1835-1908). Previously only No 4 Byram Street, the old Neaverson's shop was listed.

Discover Huddersfield Walks' Programme 2016

The 2016 Discover Huddersfield Walks' Programme, with 16 guided walks to enjoy from early April to late October is now available from libraries and information points, Huddersfield Railway Station and other outlets in and around the town. The walks, covering a number of themes, complement a series of free trails produced by experts in their particular field. The walks, held on Sunday afternoons and Thursday evenings, usually take 1.5 to 2.00 hours and cost £3.00 per person. No booking is required. Design Awards Winners 2015 Announced

The winners of the HCS Design Awards 2015 were announced at a special presentation ceremony held at Huddersfield Town Hall following the society's AGM on the evening of the 1 March.

Category winners included awards for the Best New Development, Best Refurbishment, Best Shop Front, Best residential, the Examiner Readers' Award and a special Community Enhancement Award.
